A-Day with the Million Dollar Band

Schedule:

The 2026 edition of the A-Day game has a set start time of 1:00pm. With this earlier than normal start time the schedule of events for A-Day band participants will be as follows:  

Friday 4/10 

5:30pm – 6:30pm Optional – Pre Registration in Moody Music Lobby for anyone that is in town and would like to skip the line on Saturday Morning  

Saturday 4/11  

8:30am Registration in Moody Music Lobby

  • Pick Up – Shirt and Meal Ticket  

9:30am Rehearsal in MDB Band Hall (Moody Room 1000)

10:15am End rehearsal – Begin Preparing to leave for Bryant Denny Stadium  

10:40am Band Participants Depart from Moody Music Building in route to Bryant Denny Stadium  

  • When we arrive at the stadium we will pick up food behind the MDB Section and make our way to MDB Section.  

General Notes:  

  • Parking is free and first come first served. 
  • Please arrive in plenty of time to find parking.  
  • Parents you CANNOT enter the stadium with your child. 
  • Parents must wait until the gates open to the general public to enter the stadium at Noon (This is different than last year and there will be no exceptions) 

“A” Day is Alabama Football’s annual spring football game.

All current MDB members and any 9th-12th grader.

$50 for each High School student and MDB Alumni that wish to participate.  Each participant will receive an A-Day t-shirt and boxed lunch.

No refunds will be given. No exceptions.

Not at all! Admission is free to public for both the ‘Walk of Champions’ at Denny Chimes and the game.

Yes, the rehearsal is required for all participants.

No, unfortunately we are not able to provide participants with instruments for this event.  Colorguard and majorettes are not required to bring any equipment, however, you may bring a baton (majorettes) or silver poms (colorguard) to use in the stands. No flags will be allowed.

This year Whataburger will be partnering with the MDB and providing a choice of Cheeseburger, Chicken Fingers, or Salad.

You will get an A-Day t-shirt. With that, you will wear khaki shorts or pants. If you do not have khaki shorts or pants, you may wear jeans or shorts of your choice but remember, the game will be televised, and we want to look like the Million Dollar Band!

Once you register and receive a confirmation email, we will use the email you registered with as our primary way of contact.

Find your instrument in the list at the bottom of this page!  We will only play music from these cheers. Please download and print your music, we will not provide copies.

Parent, family, and chaperone seating in the stadium will be on either side of the MDB section (S-1).  Parents and chaperones of high school participants must sit in the sections surrounding the band but will not be allowed sit in the band section. We will have a huge number of participants and will need all of our band seating for those performing.

Registration Requirements

9th through 12th grade students must be registered by their parents/legal guardians and the parent/legal guardian email must be used. Parents/legal guardians must accompany their child at all times and are responsible for their child while on campus. Parents/legal guardians must sit in the section immediately beside the band at the stadium.
